30 min

A conversation before anything else

The consultation is its own 30-minute visit, or the first half of your first visit. It comes before a peel, dermaplaning or any run of facials. We ask about your routine and how your skin behaves, look under the lamp and write what we note on your card. No facial is done unless you booked one.

What we ask

  • What you use now, and in what order

  • How your skin reacts to products and sun

  • What you'd like from a visit

  • What goes on your card, and a copy for you

Doctor first

We'll suggest a dermatologist or your doctor when

A facial can't do everything, and we'd rather say so than keep booking you. We'll suggest a dermatologist, or your doctor, when:

  • Breakouts that are deep, painful or lumpy

These sit deeper than a facial reaches, so a facial isn't the next step.

  • A spot or mole that is changing

Anything that grows, bleeds or changes color goes to a doctor, not a facial.

  • Skin that is hot, swollen or oozing

We'll ask you to see a doctor before you book again.

  • A rash that appeared after a new product or medicine

We'll pause, note it on your card and suggest who to ask.

  • Changes that started suddenly

Especially alongside other changes in how you feel.

  • A question about a diagnosis

We don't diagnose. We'll say what we see and who can look at it properly.
